When you search the App Store, do not stop at a similar name. Look-alike apps have existed. Check the full name, icon, developer, and the app ID on the product page. Opening the product link on this site’s download page reduces a wrong search. If the link opens but your account cannot buy, that storefront does not list the app, or the account store does not match the product page. The app is not discontinued.
The app is a one-time purchase with no in-app subscription. Fees for third-party nodes or rule subscriptions are charged by that provider and are separate from the App Store price. “I still pay for nodes” is not the same as the app charging twice.
Check before you buy
- The product page title is Shadowrocket. Do not download a similarly named app with a different icon.
- The developer field is Shadow Launch Technology Limited.
- The app ID is 932747118. Confirm it on the product page link or this site’s download page.
- The platforms are iPhone and iPad. There is no official Android client.
- The price is a one-time purchase. The amount varies by storefront. Use the product page at the time of purchase.
If your current store cannot find it, open the product link first. If it is still unavailable, use an Apple ID from a region that lists the app. Sign out of the current App Store account before you switch. After purchase, that account can install again from Purchased. Do not stack logins without signing out, or the purchase may land on another account.
Sources to avoid
- Unsigned IPA files, and packages forwarded through cloud drives or chat apps.
- Third-party stores, and copies labeled “free,” “cracked,” or “pro.”
- Any install that requires an enterprise certificate or a configuration profile first. Those certificates can be revoked at any time, and the app can stop opening.
- Files named “Shadowrocket for Android.” There is no official Android client. Android needs a client for that platform. Renaming a file does not make it this app.
- Browser “one-tap download” pages that then ask you to install an unknown configuration profile.
These sources cannot be verified and do not receive App Store updates. Altered copies may also request Contacts, Photos, or an extra VPN configuration. This site does not provide any install file and does not help you skip the purchase.
After install
Other iPhone or iPad devices on the same Apple ID can install again from Purchased, subject to Apple’s purchase and Family Sharing rules. After you change devices, restore your own backup first, then allow the VPN configuration again. A backup does not replace system permission. See VPN configuration.
Open the app from the Home Screen after install. Complete permission first, then import a subscription. Import and connect steps are in the illustrated tutorial. Do not decide the app is an “empty shell” before you grant permission.
After you delete the app, the system VPN configuration may remain. Subscription content follows the next import. For a clean reinstall, remove Shadowrocket in Settings → General → VPN & Device Management, delete the app, then install from App Store Purchased. Do not “repair” it with a non-store package.
Region, device, and system
The minimum system version is on the product page. The device must support Network Extension. An older iOS may find the app but fail to install. That is a system requirement, not a dead link. iPad and iPhone share the same app ID. The layout follows device width. The four tabs remain Home, Config, Data, and Settings.
Whether Family Sharing covers other members depends on Apple’s rules and the settings at purchase. This site cannot look up App Store account status. The purchase record exists only on the Apple ID that paid.
Where the app ends and nodes begin
You bought a client. Server address, port, password or UUID, and subscription URL come from your provider. Without those values, the app can open and complete VPN permission, but it cannot create a proxy connection. That is not an incomplete install.
Do not download an unknown Shadowrocket copy for “free nodes.” Treat the client source and the node source separately: the client comes only from the App Store; nodes come only from a provider you trust. If an update fails, check the URL with subscription updates. Do not replace the install package.
If payment succeeded but there is no Home Screen icon, open the App Store purchase record or product page and see whether it is downloading, waiting for Wi-Fi, or blocked by Screen Time. Do not use a third-party page to “finish the install.” If the download stops, continue from the same product page. Do not finish with a look-alike app.
Refunds, duplicate charges, and Family Sharing disputes go through Apple’s purchase record. This site cannot see your order or change the store region. The developer name must be Shadow Launch Technology Limited. A payment to any other seller is not this client.
A same-named app installed from a non-store source on a jailbroken device is not on the official update channel. The UI notes on this site assume a non-jailbroken App Store build. Jailbreak tweaks can change VPN permission and Network Extension behavior. Those environments are out of scope.
Copying the app to another device bypasses App Store signing and updates. The receiving device cannot confirm the file was not replaced, and it will not get fixes after a system update. For multiple devices, install from the store with the same purchased account on each device.
Match the icon to the product page: dark blue background, white rocket silhouette. A close name with a generic globe or shield is not this app. After install, check the name in Settings → General → iPhone Storage. It should still be Shadowrocket, not a random English string.
Full install steps, what to do when search fails, and blocked sources are on Download. Common purchase questions are in the FAQ. After install, use the other articles for permission, routing, and subscriptions. Do not “fix” those issues by swapping the install package.
